Anne Erwin, of Lincoln passed away peacefully on December 15th after a brief illness. Born in Mead, NE to Francis and Anne (O'Brien) Hastert.

Anne grew up in Wahoo, NE. She graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Law and spent her entire legal career at the Nebraska Department of Revenue. Anne had many passions throughout her life. First and foremost, Anne loved books and reading. Her vast collection of historical novels filled her incredible library, which brought her so much joy. Anne had impeccable style, and loved art, fashion and design. Anne was a master at origami, this incredible skill was demonstrated each time she wrapped a present, as the attention to detail often left the recipient hesitant to unwrap her always thoughtful gift. Anne had beautiful handwriting, and a love for Masterpiece Mysteries. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Survivors include: two children, Kathy Leary of Richardson, TX (Timothy) and Hyle Erwin of Lincoln (Rachel), her brother Charles of AZ (Cristal) and 4 grandchildren Julia, Emma, Hyle, and Rosalyn. She was also preceded in death by her husband Hyle, and brother John.

There will be no services, but please lift a glass of champagne in her honor.
