Comerford, Joan CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. Joan Comerford, 57, of Clifton Park passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Joan was born on October 30, 1953 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late John J. and Mildred Kelly Comer-ford. Joan graduated from Catherine McAuley High School in 1971 and later graduated from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing where she received her nursing degree. She was an ICU registered nurse at Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany for over 30 years. Joan was a communicant and parish nurse at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. Joan is survived by her loving brother, Thomas Comerford of Clifton Park. She is also survived by her Albany Med. family and numerous cousins. Funeral will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home and thence to St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park where at 10:00 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be on Sunday, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. Interment will be in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, N.Y.
