Lucille V. Hamilton, 74, of 307 Lundy Street, died July 21, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.

Pallbearers will be: Bill Mathis, Gerald Brewer, Richard Hamilton Jr., Jim Mathis, Ralph Mitchell, and Art Riblet.

She was born January 1, 1924 in Streator, a daughter of Michael and Ann (Pavlick) Dutko. She married Matthew Hamilton Jr. on June 27, 1946 in St. Stephen's Church. He survives.

Also surviving are a daughter: Jane Busche of Keego Harbor, Michigan; and sisters: Mary Brewer of Streator and Irene (Arthur) Loebach of Leonore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Barbara Ann Sugg.

She retired from Streator City Hall in 1982 after 12 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Society Branch 7 of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1492 Auxiliary, AFL-CIO and the Republican Women's Club. She served as an election judge for many years. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church.
