Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, California. The son of Albert and Anna Frances (Hoes) Landreth of Wisconsin, after the death of his father his family moved to Pasadena, California, in 1906. He attended Occidental College of Los Angeles and was a 1915 graduate of the Stanford University School of Law. In 1917, he became a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Landreth and Patten with James Patten. After serving in World War I, he became a partner in the Pasadena law firm of Hahn, Hahn and Landreth (now Hahn & Hahn). He served as Secretary to California Governor Clement C. Young and was a Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Municipal Court. He became a Judge of the Superior Court in 1943. A civic leader in Pasadena, he served as president of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and was the 1922 Grand Marshal of the Tournament of Roses Parade. He was also a trustee of Occidental College and Commander of the American Legion Post. Husband of Gertrude E. Griffith, they married in 1923 and were the parents of two children.
