He is survived by his son, John Jr.; mother, Bertha Boutte Desdunes; brother. Melvin; sisters: Hazel and Theresa; niece, Michelle; and great-nephews: Melvin III, David and Mark Desdunes.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Wanda Faye Tillman; father, Lawrence Sr.; brothers: Lawrence Jr. and Anthony; and nephew, Melvin Desdunes Jr. Relatives, friends and employees of National Linen and Sheraton Hotel are invited to a Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Church, 2022 St. Bernard Ave. on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Internment at St. Patrick #3 Cemetery, 143 City Park Ave.
