SEBRING, FL Grover C. Artman, 69, formerly of York, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008, in Sebring, Fla. He was born December 25, 1938, to Dr. Grover F. and Dorothy (Bucher) Artman in York. Prior to moving to Sebring in 2007, Grover lived in San Jose, Costa Rica, for 15 years after a career in sales with McCormick & Co. He was a member of First Church of the Brethren in York, and the Red Lion Elks Club. He was a 1956 graduate of Red Lion High School and attended Elizabethtown College. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, and loved to travel. He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Rodriguez; daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Taylor of Pequea; sons, G. Fred Artman of York, Brian P. (Tara) Artman of Wrightsville, Steven W. (Tina) Artman of Manchester, and Doran N. (Amy) Artman of Manheim; and 15 grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date.
