E. B. "Eddie" Arnold, Jr. – Age 90 of Nashville, TN. December 22, 2022.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edgar B. and Mary Arnold, Sr.; and grandson, Edgar B. Arnold, IV.
Survived by wife, Carol Arnold; daughter, Mary Darrell (Richard) Allen; son, E. B. "Trey" (Cynthia) Arnold, III; grandchildren, Heath (Dani) Allen, Jamie Allen, Emily Allen, Hannah Arnold and Lydia Arnold; and brother, Henry Leland Arnold.
For 32 years, Eddie worked for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, Division of County Audit. He traveled the state for many of those years working with the various county court clerks and his fondness for the people he met along the way was what he talked about most. The greatest work of his life, however, was serving as Treasurer for Woodson Chapel Church of Christ from 1969 to 2015. The church meant so much to Eddie and his dedicated service left a lasting legacy.
Eddie was known by all to be a big fan of the Volunteers. A long-time season ticket holder to the football games, his pride for the Big Orange brought a smile to his face. His greatest joy came from loving and providing for his children, grandchildren and the love of his life – Carol.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Trey Arnold and Richard Allen. Interment with Military Honors at Woodlawn Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: Elders and deacons of Woodson Chapel Church of Christ. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
