DIED.
On the 13th inst. at Clifton, the Hon. Col. G. Napier, Comptroller of Army Accounts in Ireland. A better or a braver soldier never served his Country ; a more upright or more diligent servant of the public never filled an office of trust. He was married to Lady Sarah Bunbury, sister to the Duke of Richmond. [London Chronicle - Saturday 20 October 1804, p.7]
The burial record comes from Parish burials, Redland, St Nathanael, Redland, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. Burial date: 17 Oct 1804. Record set: Gloucestershire, Bristol Burial Index. (In the record set England Deaths & Burials 1538-1991, St Nathanael is not mentioned. The church of St Nathanael (now Elmwood Church - a community centre) in Redland was not built until 1875 hence the record for the 'Hon George Napier' seems more likely to refer to Redland Parish Churchyard).
