Aaron T. Markwell, 64, formerly of West Alexandria, died Saturday, Sept. 19, at Hospice of Dayton after an extended illness. Born Feb. 3, 1934, in Kings Creek, Ky., he was the son of William R. and Stella E. (Royce) Markwell. He was a contractor, and had worked for Charles Huber Homes.

Survivors include a son, Aaron T. Markwell Jr. of Englewood; daughters, Sue E. Justice of West Alexandria, Pamela K. Jajuga of Indianapolis, Ind., Mary R. Kammer of Clayton and Elizabeth M. Gerriety of Miamisburg; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Irene Shell of Dayton and Daisy Mae Cook of West Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin L. Markwell in 1946, Joe Markwell in 1970 and Cecil Markwell in 1994.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel, with the Rev. Daryl Flynn officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grover Cemetery near West Alexandria.
