Nadean Ruth Boren Watts, 90, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away at her home Wednesday, December 28, 2022. She was born July 29, 1932 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Evans & Ida Jane (Hull) Boren. She grew up and was educated at Prairie Dale Community School and Keota Schools. She made her home in Stigler for many years and raised her family. She married Aaron Watts on June 10, 1983 in Stigler and they made their home in Gore for 26 years and settling in Checotah for the last 12 years. She was a great cook, she loved flowers and enjoyed gardening.
Nadean is survived by her husband Aaron of the home; a son, Jeff Oaks & wife Debra of Stigler; a daughter, Carolyn Jones of Checotah; 8 grandchildren; Travis, Jeffrey, Matt, Sarah, Max, Emily, J.R., & Harley; 15 great grandchildren, Brannon, Cooper, Mason, Spenser, Evi, Kingston, Van, Trelan, Madison, Beckett, Barrett, Brenah, Ashley, Garretti,& Gus.
Nadean is preceded in death by her parents, Evans & Ida Boren; 3 brothers, Leo, Ester, & Cecil Boren; 5 sisters, Geneva Wise, Leva Jones, Gracie Browning, Ruby Parker, Hazel Coleman; 1 son, Mark Oaks.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend Floyd Collins officiating. Pallbearers include Travis Oaks, Jeffrey Oaks, Matt Oaks, Max Jones, Brannon Oaks, Cooper Oaks.
Burial will follow at Garland Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
