Ronnie C. Baca passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.
Ronnie was born on February 29, 1968 to Elfego and Sally Baca.
Ronnie was the kind of man to bring laughter to anyone and in any situation. Ronnie lived a simple life. Ronnie loved good food, good company and good music. Ronnie lived life rocking hard and riding free.
Ron adored camping and fishing and always had his gear ready so he could go on a moment's notice at any opportunity. Ron loved cooking and was an amazing cook. Ron was especially fond of salsa and barbequing. Ron was always ready to feed anyone who would drop by. Ron spent fun times at many concerts with his lifelong friends.
Ron was a hard worker. Ron was employed with the Silver Consolidated Schools and loved working there. Ron also was employed at GRMC for many years in the past.
Some of his favorite sports moments were watching the Lakers win multiple championship games.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vidal and María Baca and Epifanio and Florencia Chavez and by his sister, Laurie Ann Baca.
Ron missed his sister dearly. We have peace in knowing that they are together forever in paradise.
Ron is survived by his parents, brothers, Jeremy (Claudia) and Adam (Debbie), children, Vanessa Baca (Robert Gonzáles), Ronnie James Baca (Marisa Gallardo) and Elizabeth Gavaldón and five grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Matthew, Damian and Bianca Gonzáles.
Ron was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Visitation for Ronnie will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapels in Silver City, New Mexico. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary led by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga will take place at 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapels. In accordance with Ronnie's wishes, cremation will take place thereafter. The Rite of Committal and Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Silver City, NM. Officiating is Father Gary Norman.
