THAYER-ROCK FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY – 2016
Joanne M. O'Bryan, age 74. Beloved wife of Michael. Loving mother of Karilyn (Keith) Crompton, Charles (Glenda) Lonardo and Scott Lonardo. Cherished grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Carol McShan. A lifetime member of the Italian American Club of Livonia. Joanne will always be remembered as a loyal and true friend to many people. She worked in electronics' sales for many years. Her interests were golf, tennis, cards, shopping and cooking. Her favorite day of the year was Christmas in Boston where she was surrounded by family, friends and especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After 35 years in Michigan, she still maintained her strong Boston accent. She has been going to dialysis three days a week for the past 3 years. As her best friend that sat across from her in dialysis said "when Joanne showed up, the whole room lit up." Of course, she had that same effect on any room she walked into. Just ask the hair stylists at Genesis Hair Salon where she went every week and they will confirm the effect was the same. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Rd., Livonia, MI 48154.
