Graveside Services for Millard C. 'Salty' Jones, 79, of Santa Anna, TX will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the Flomot Cemetery in Flomot. Mr. Jones passed away Feb. 20, 2008 in Santa Anna. Arrangements in Santa Anna are being made with Henderson Funeral Home. Viewing and Visitiation will be held at Henderson Funeral Home until Friday evening and from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Seigler Funeral Home in Matador Saturday.

Santa Anna, Texas - M. C. Jones age 76 of Santa Anna, Texas passed away Wednesday February 20, 2008, at 8:20 a.m. at his residence south of Santa Anna.

Services will be Sunday at the Flomot Cemetery in Flomot, Texas with Rev. Salt Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 till 6 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home in Santa Anna and on Saturday from 5 till 8 p.m. at Seigler Funeral Home in Matador, Texas. Services are under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

M. C. was born June 7, 1929 in Motley County, Texas to the late Crabill C. and Eliza J. Barton Jones. He was a lifetime resident of Motley County graduating from Flomot High School in 1947. He continued his education at Tarelton State University and received his BS and MS from Sul Ross University. On November 26, 1997 M. C. married Barbara Sue Bruce Kingsbery in Santa Anna, Texas and they have celebrated ten years of marriage. M. C. was a member of the Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was a coach and teacher at Roscoe High School and Flomot ISD during the 1950s and ranched on the family ranch owned by his family for over 100 years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kingsbery Jones of Santa Anna, Texas; daughter, Candy and husband, Michael Kern of Plano, Texas; 2 sons, Salt and wife, Susan Jones of Calgary, Canada, Pepper Jones of Austin, Texas; 2 step daughters, Sue and husband, John Porter of Austin, Texas; Carol and Bob Otto of Lago Vista, Texas; 3 grandchildren; 2 step granddaughters.
