Mary "Jo" Josephine Blandford, 91, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at her home with family by her side. She was formerly Mary Josephine Craycroft, a native of New Haven. Jo will be remembered for her unconditional love of her family and her sassy sense of humor. She loved to decorate, especially at Christmas, her favorite time of year. She had a passion for bridge and was a life master. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Blandford; her son, John Blandford; and eight siblings. Jo is survived by her son, George (Debbie) Blandford; daughters, Karen Blandford, Janice (Thad Tarpey) Blandford and Renee (Tommy) McCoy; seven grandchildren, Michael Hancock, Nicole (Erin) Wortham, Amelia & Julia Tarpey, Madelyn, Trey & Cecilia McCoy; four great-grandchildren, Quinn, Beckett, Reese and Scout; brother, Ed (Mary Ann) Craycroft; and sisters-in-law, Julia Effinger and Angela Craycroft. Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville, with visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
