CALDWELL — James W. Anderson, 70, Middleton, died Sunday at a Caldwell hospital.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Dakan Funeral Chapel by Pastor Rollin Schaleger of the Grace Lutheran Church of Caldwell. Interment be at Middleton.

Mr. Andersen was born Aug. 11, 1900 at Chillicothe, Mo. He moved to Yakima, Wash., when he was two years old and attended school there. He worked for several years in the fruit Industry. He was a veteran of World War II. In 1920, he moved to the Boise Valley and located in Star where he was in business for several years. He moved to Middleton in 1981 and married Della Campbell, June 10, 1968 at Emmett.

He was a member of Loren Trotter Post No. 35 of the American Legion in Caldwell and the Eagles Lodge in Seattle.

He is survived by his wife, a step-son, Alex Buchanan, Sela, Wash.; a brother, Joe Anderson, Boise; a sister, Francis Thompson, Boise and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, Tom, Ora and Richard Anderson and two sisters, Mabel Lenz and Ann Kurtman.
