Verna Mae Hanna, 87, of Alma died Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Alma. She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Mellette, Okla. She was of the Assembly of God faith, the widow of Jewel Hanna and a former employee of Alma Canning Co. and Bryant Preserving Co.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Alma City Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Annabelle Christian of Alma, and Reba Collins and Cheryl Prescott, both of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Collins, Shawn Shankle, Dan Long, Kevin Clauson, Mark Hodges and Jeff Robertson.
