SWICKARD Fred Swickard, age 96, of Columbus, died February 20, 2008, at Franklin Woods Health Care Center. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ohio Tool Collectors, EAIA, Mid-West Tool, Marion Square and Hamilton Township Golden Agers. Retired from Capital University in 1983, after 45 years of service. Fred was known on campus for always wearing his red cap. He was a spunky and fun person who loved to be challenged with mind puzzles. Showing off his precious tool collection was dear to him. Preceded in death by wife Edith, parents Earle and Hazel, son-in-law Jack Gee, sisters Mary Forshey, Clarine Dunnigan and MaryEtta Gossard. Survived by children, Donald E. (Sharon) Swickard of Oregon, Joyce Gee of Grove City, Phyllis (Richard) Casto and Suzanne (Bill) McGraw of Canal Winchester; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen (Milton) Mapou; brothers, Jackson (Marge) Taylor and Arthur "Bud" Swickard; brother-in-law, Kenny Gossard; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Family will receive friends Saturday from 12Noon until time of service at 2 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St. Pastor Gary L. Pieper officiating. Interment Walnut Hill Cemetery.
