Funeral services for James A. Brown, 69-year-old resident of 346 Idlewild Street, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel with Rev. Leo Gallman officiating.
Mr. Brown died Sunday afternoon at his home after a long illness.
He was a native of Little Rock, Ark., but had been a resident of Jackson for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, James A. Brown, Jr, of Downey, Calif., C. F. Brown of Chula Vista, Calif., and C. L. Brown of Long Beach, Calif.,; two daughters Mrs. W. E. Davis of McComb and Mrs. George I. Overman of Houston, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
