Willard Edwin Pearson (Bill) died peacefully at home in Everett, WA. December 08, 2022. He was 78 and died of vascular hypertension.

He was born July 29, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to Gosta and Marian Pearson. His father was in the Army stationed at Fort Knox. After WWII they returned to Issaquah, WA. where Bill spent his childhood.

Bill and his cousin, Phil, learned Morse Code and strung a two-mile telegraph line through the woods between their homes for communication before they had telephones. Bill built and flew model control line airplanes and was quite successful in competition. He hunted, fished, and hiked. Later he drove a Corvette and owned a Harley Motorcycle. He enjoyed golf and often played with his father. He loved people, cats, and cars. Of all his cats, Wolfy was his all-time favorite. His biggest regret is that he did not have any children.

He graduated from Issaquah High School, Class of 1962 and attended Skagit Valley College. On April 6, 1966, He enlisted into the Army and was sent to Viet Nam. He was wounded and received a Vietnam Campaign medal Purple Heart. He also received a Vietnam Service medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medals.

On September 19, 1997, he married Pamela Jean Rigny in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2019. He leaves behind his cousins Phil Pearson (Kitty), Liz Schlichting, Jeanne Ray (Ben), and his sister-in-law Barbara Chaplin (Kent).

He loved cars and was a wonderfully knowledgeable car salesperson. He worked for Chaplin Motors, Bellevue Cadillac, and other dealerships.

No service will be held per Bill's wishes. His ashes will be interred into the Columbarium at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Flintoft's Funeral Home and Crematory, Issaquah, WA is overseeing the arrangements.

Bill had a dry sense of humor. His favorite joke was "So, other than that Mrs. Kennedy, how was your day?"

Memorial donations may be sent to Everett Animal Shelter 333 Smith Island Road, Everett, WA 98201.
