Wayne Reeves (September 27, 1941 ~ October 25, 2022 - age 81)

Wayne Reeves, age 81, passed away on October 25, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1941, in Crestview, Florida to Rudolph and Vallie Reeves. He served his country in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he worked at Vitro for several years and then went to work at Fairchild Industries where he was a supervisor. Wayne enjoyed drag racing and NACAR. Many folks will remember Wayne from the years at Baker Drag Strip. He also liked working in the yard and the outdoors. During the holidays he would decorate the yard with Christmas Decorations. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Reeves; grandson Logan Reeves; brothers Cameron and Freddie Reeves and sister Martha Sowell.

Wayne is survived by his children: Ricky Reeves and wife Stephanie and Joey Reeves; brother Johnny Reeves and wife Mary; grandchildren Tiffany, Dax and Lindsey Lewis and husband Tyler.

The funeral service for Wayne will be held on Friday October 28, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 11:30 a.m.
