Bishop Lonnie James Grimsley, 92, husband of Effie Grimsley, passed away, Friday, January 6, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.

Reverend Grimsley was born on January 4, 1931 in Florence County, son of the late Warren Lonnie Grimsley and Bertie Wilkes Grimsley. He was a veteran of The United States Army, served in France during the Korea War.

Reverend Grimsley was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Kevin Grimsley; siblings, Dorothy Agnes Grimsley Turner, Hubert Lenwood Grimsley and Donald Clark Grimsley; sons-in-law, Reverend Robert Levon Broach and Jerry Evans.
