Alma Catherine Belch, age 93 of Wadena, passed away on Monday evening Sept. 25th at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena. Alma was born on October 19, 1912 in Farris, MN to her parents Stephen & Helene (Klein) Zwack. She lived in Wadena from 1914 to 1934. On April 16, 1934 she was united in marriage Thomas V. Belch in Wadena. They moved away until 1948 when they returned to Wadena. Thomas passed away on Jan. 4, 1961. Alma was a homemaker, a mother and a grandmother. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing cards with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Besides her husband, Alma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Alphonse & Walter; sister Marie; grandchildren D'Juana & Allen Belch. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Musachia of North Aurora, IL, Joanne (Mal) Pavlacky of Foley, Mary (Richard) Dahle of Terre Haute, IN; sons John (Lucille) of Sebeka, Robert (Betty) of Coon Rapids & Donald of Wadena; 14 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30th at 11:00 AM in the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with Fr. Donald Wagner as celebrant. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Wadena with Scott Pavlacky, Brian Dahle, Chad Belch, Eric Salo, Jason Belch & Mark Belch serving as pallbearers.
