Timothy Mark Hilton, born February 7, 1968 in Haleyville AL. He was a resident of Helena, AL. Tim lost his courageous battle with cancer on December 16, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Tracy, sons Josh Hilton and Kaeden Duke, his parents Bernard and Nina Hilton, sister Naomi Archer (Jamie), niece Elisabeth Anne and nephew Jay. He graduated from Haleyville High School and attended the University of Alabama. Following a business career, Tim discovered his purpose in life was helping those struggling with addiction. He spent almost two decades working with addicts and their families at Bradford Health Services and traveling throughout the Southeast telling his story of addiction and presenting, "The Broken Brain, an understandable look at the dilemma of addiction." Tim was a National Recovery Advocate and dynamic speaker. He was loved and admired by many in the field of addiction recovery. If Tim could say one more thing, it would be "I HATE ORANGE!" The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and extraordinary support they received during Tim's journey over the last nine months. Special thanks to Drs Darryl Outlaw, Nick Cappadona, and Sarah Kunin. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 PM; a Remembrance of Life Service will be Thursday, December 22 at 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL 35244. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the-ladder.org in the name of Tim Hilton.
