Recently, records discovered on Micajah Alsabrook during research on Charlotte Alsabrook Tackett and her parents Mahala and Asa Alsabrook. The record that started research was located on 1860 census with Charlotte Tackett, who lived nearby in Heard Georgia.

Note: records on Charlotte Alsabrook Tackett reveals that she was born in a different year than is noted on her headstone. A memorial was created to document records and reflect this information, but preserve her headstone memorial.

Record of Micajah Alsabrook burial location not found at this point. But placed memorial in same cemetery as his wife, Susan D. Almon Alsabrook.

NOTE; On the same 1870 census, on same page 1/1, in same location living near Mike, William Alsabrook...age 56...born Georgia is living with wife, Elizabeth and his family. Is this a brother??? Research continues. Update 1/15/2023.. Research confirms William (William James) noted on census is brother of Micajah Alsabrook and Charlotte Alsabrook Tackett.

Micajah Alsabrook passed in 1873. However, another record discovered about his wife and children. This census shows Susan is a widow.

Re-review of census records of Micajah Alsabrook and Susan Almon Alsabrook reveals the following. A pattern noted...It appears children were listed by first or middle name on different census records. Some of thier children confirmed and memorial located.

1. Emily A Alsabrook...age 6 in 1860 census and age 16 in 1870 census...Update 1/26/2023...
Emily America Alsabrook married John Calvin Wren. A memorial for Emily located Emeus Cemetery, Logan Cullman County Alabama...

2. Mary E. Alsabrook.... listed age 5 on 1860 census, then listed as Elizabeth M age 14 on 1870 record. Research continues

9. Berdie Alsabrook....1870 census...age 7. Her father, Micajah Alsabrook passed about 1873, when she was a baby. Married Benjamin Monroe "BM" Sewell.
Update 1/26/2023-- A memorial that includes headstone for Birdie located... ID # 54451661. The stone reads: Lucinda Birdett "Birdie" Alsabrook Sewell. Born July 25, 1872...died Feb 25, 1907 at 35 years of age.

... Birdie married Benjamin Monroe "BM" Sewell on Jan 16, 1890 in Coweta Georgia. Of this union at least 6 children were born. However, 8 children are linked on her memorial along with her husband.

... Her last child--- Monroe Burdett Sewell born Feb 18th, 1907. This information would indicate Birdie passed about 7 days after his birth.
... It is noted that "BM" Sewell did remarry in 1908 to Emmie L. Arnold.
~~~~~ During research it was noted that several of children of Birdie and Benjamin Sewell are buried in Oakhill Cemetery Newnan Coweta Georgia. Discovered that cemetery is the same location that several of Birdie's siblings are also buried.
