Robert W. "Bob" Schulte, 83, of Conway, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008.
He was born September 2, 1924, in St. Louis, MO, to Bernard T. and Catherine (Drexler) Schulte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Vernel Rose Schulte, and a brother, Bernard Schulte.
Bob retired from Universal-Nolan/WCI after over 40 years of service. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway.
Bob was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to walk.
He was survived by his sons, Mike Schulte and wife Susan of Ft. Smith, Bob Schulte and wife Becky of Little Rock, Steve Schulte and wife Gaye of Little Rock; daughter, Debbie Deaver and husband Alan of Americus, GA; son, Barney Schulte and wife Beth of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Betsy Porta and husband Gabe of Fayetteville, Leah Ramsey and husband Chris of Ft. Smith, Brock Schulte of Ft. Smith, Laura Schulte of Dallas, TX, Mark Schulte of Brentwood, CA, Graham Schulte of Searcy, Brent Schulte and wife Melissa of Little Rock, Kevin Schulte of Little Rock, Timothy Deaver of Americas, GA, Malorie Franks and husband Michael of Athens, GA, Nicholas and Cameron Schulte of Nashville, TN; a great grandchild, Andrew Porta of Fayetteville; and a brother, Leo Schulte and wife Mary Ann of Orlando, FL.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at St Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Seiter, C.S.Sp. as celebrant.
Entombment was at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
Rosary was at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Pallbearers were; his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be "The Hardee's Breakfast Gang" which includes Rev. Tom Byrne, Ray Hess, Bob Kordsmeier, Clem Kordsmeier, George Lachowsky, John Lane, Charles Lock, Dennie Lock, Pete Lollar, Tony Nahlen, Jim and Linda Palmer, and Johnnie.
