Dancer. He was an African-American tap dancer who broke racial barriers by appearing regularly on "The Betty White Variety Show" in the 1950s when segregation was still the norm. He later went on to become a featured dancer on "The Lawrence Welk Show" from 1964 to 1982. He died at the age of 97, following a stroke and pneumonia.
