She was born in Marion, Ind., and lived most of her life in the Bolckow and Savannah area. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Griggs was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bolckow. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Joslin, on May 1, 1950. She married Ernest Ora Griggs on Jan. 7, 1954. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Celia Reynolds of Stewartsville and Albert Southwick of St Joseph; two sons, Edward Lee Joslin and Harry William Joslin, both of St Joseph; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Breit and Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Burial will be at the Savannah, Mo., Cemetery." St Joseph Gazette, September 22, 1986
