Essie was a longtime resident of Chickamauga, GA and graduated in the 1953 class of Gordon Lee High School. She earned her Associates Degree in Administration from Edmonson College and retired after many years as a Secretary with North American Royalties. Essie was an avid GA Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan; she enjoyed cross-stitch, reading, quilting, and working puzzles. Essie was a dedicated and longtime member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. She was well known for her crocheting ability and often made baby clothes, prayer shawls, and afghans for ministries of the church. Essie worked as a silent volunteer in many capacities at the church. She enjoyed traveling. She was fun loving, independent, humbly generous, and a very loyal friend.
Essie was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Billy Joe Fuller; brother, George A. Kell; and parents, Parks and Myrtle Kell.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Brenda Martin; cousin, Cora Ann Parrish; numerous other cousins; nieces, Shawna (Larry) Lindsey and Shelley (Kurt) Johnson; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16th, 2023 at 3pm in the Lane South Crest Chapel with Rev. Zach Fitzpatrick officiating. A private interment will be held in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
