I Sure Miss You

♥My dad was a wonderful man and a wonderful dad as well. He really cared for and loved his family. He only went to the 4th grade, but he was a jack of all trades. He could do house remodeling, electric, plumbing, mechanic, auto body work and paint them too! He suffered from some health problems the last few years of his life but mostly the last year from grieving over the death of mom, Roberta, on January 25, 2007, which greatly effected his health. He loved the Lord dearly and served him all his life. He witnessed to all he met about the Lord. I'm sure he and mom are happy together again, walking hand in hand by the beautiful crystal river that mom always talked about. .
Born to Andrew Coots and Ollie Catherine(Williams)Coots.
He was a final repairman for General Motors, a member of Community Pentecostal Church and enjoyed doing auto body repair work.♥

♥DAD'S LAST JOURNEY♥

On February 18th, two thousand and eight,
Angels carried your soul to heaven's gate.
Waiting inside was Jesus and mom,
With smiling faces to welcome you home.

As you made your journey from here to there,
I know it was on the wings of prayer.
Your mom and dad they raised you right,
They knew one day you would take this flight.

On this earth you have lived for eighty one years,
Each thought of you will bring joyful tears.
Just knowing you are at peace and rest
And knowing you always done your best.

Dad one day soon, we will see you again,
'T will be a joyous reunion in heaven and then,
We will all be together with you and mom,
It will be the first morning of heaven's dawn.

As we sat around that room to mourn,
Your new body in heaven was being born.

♥MY DEAR PARENTS♥

Dearest mom, dearest dad,
I'm so overwhelmed with sad.
No more phone calls like before,
No more your shadows to grace my door.

So many days I feel you near,
I look around and you're not there.
A lonesome feeling it is for me,
For your faces no more do I see.

I have your pictures to gaze upon,
To remember the days that are long gone.
Such a sadness I feel within my heart,
Since the time back when you both had to part.

But each day brings us closer to when,
We all shall see each other again.
A glorious reunion it shall be,
To be together again for eternity.

♥DAD♥

In the year of our Savior, 1926
On September 5, he was born in the sticks
It wasn't a laid out fancy ranch
They just called it Dorton Branch

His mother I'm sure was proud of him
Even though some days life looked grim
He lay in the yard many a day
Wishing the hunger would go away

Days turned into years gone by
Here he is this handsome guy
He met this girl they call my mother
He knew in his heart there was no other

In just a few years they were married
Their many burdens together they carried
There was no honeymoon made in heaven
'Cause they were raising a brood of seven

There were many days filled with fears
For their children they loved throughout the years
Now each one is out on their own
Mom and Dad are left home all alone

That day will come someday soon
It could be morning, night or noon
We will receive the heartbreaking news
Mom and Dad have paid their dues

Life won't be the same anymore
'Cause mom and dad have gone on before
To meet their maker in the sky
They pray we will meet them by and by

So brothers and sisters, listen please
Don't neglect to fall on your knees
Give your heart to the Savior, don't delay
Is the prayer our parents pray(prayed) everyday.
