Michael Robert Allred, 13, returned to his Heavenly Father's loving arms January 13, 1995 as a result of a rock slide accident up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Born May 27, 1981 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert H. Allred and Katie Mamanakis Allred. He was an 8th grade student at Elk Ridge Middle School in South Jordan and also attended Bingham Middle School. Michael loved life and had many, many friends. He loved hunting, fishing, football and especially swimming and the outdoors. He loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Katie; brothers, Chris and Kelly, all South Jordan; grandparents, Doyle Allred, Logan, Utah; George and Ellen Mamanakis, Morgan, Utah; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Gwenivere Allred. The family wishes to thank all those who helped so valiantly in the recovery of Michael. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 1995 at 12 Noon in the Parkway 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 9900 So. Dunsinane Dr. (3800 West), South Jordan, where friends may call from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
