Obituary -
Wayne graduated from Quay High School, Quay, Oklahoma in 1947, He graduated from Tulsa Business College, in Tulsa, OK. Wayne began his carrier as a rate and billing clerk for Gillette Motor Freight in the Tulsa Terminal; Gillette later sold and became Western Gillette, he continued to work and was promoted Terminal Manager in 1954; he worked there until mid 1968 until he began Tulsa based Okmulgee Express, Inc. in April 1968; a company that began with (LTL)less than truck load hauls from Tulsa, OK and Okmulgee, OK and grew into a business with 6 terminals around Northeastern Okla and into Ft. Smith, Ark. Wayne sold the company in 1984 and opened a restaurant in Okmulgee, OK, "The Coney Palace" and later in addition opened W D Gifts where they sold many collectibles as well as Bradford Exchange Dolls and Plates. The shop at one time was downtown Okmulgee in the old Ben Franklin 5 & 10 store, which allowed display over 300 plates and 100's of dolls. He enjoyed talking with people and the selling of the wide assortment of gifts that the store held. He also enjoyed the Dallas Market trips, as well as other buying markets, as far as Chicago. He closed "the Coney Palace" but continued with the gift shop until a fire destroyed the business in November 2000.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. A typist in the steno pool and was asked to reup and go to Pentagon but decided not to re-enlist.

Survived by wife of 53 years, Myra; daughters, Peggy Camp, Donna Goddard, both of Tulsa and Lynda Lamb & husband, Wayne, Houston, TX; brother, Norbert Doll, wife, Katherine (Wilkerson)Doll, Glencoe, OK; sisters-in-law, Frances "June" (Tilley)Doll (Kenneth), Tulsa, OK, Betty (Parsons) Doll (Orville Dean), Moore, OK Orville's first wife Linda (Robins) Doll; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Carl and Gertie Doll of Yale, OK; 2 brothers, Kenneth Leroy of Tulsa, OK and Orville Dean Doll of Moore, OK.

Service 2 p.m., Monday, Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home's Westwood Chapel.
