She is also preceded in death by her loving and adoring husband, Kanah Paul Johnson, two sons, Clyde Lee and Steven Ray, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Fessard, siblings; Clyde, Grace, Clarence, Clara, Lovise and Nelda. She is also preceded in death by many close friends through life and best friend Wanda.
Janie was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent years being a devoted military wife, packing up their children and moving. Once retired she settled back in Kentucky. She enjoyed ball room dancing, her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She relished in making everyone feel special, everyone she met felt an immediate connection.
Janie is survived by her son, Paul (Shannon), daughter, Beth (Keith), daughter-in-laws, Carol (Clyde) and Debbie (Steve), grandchildren, Robert, Betsy, Chad, Zachary, Skye, Kanah, Gabriel, Madeleine and Kai. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Josh, Kristen, Hannah, Hunter, Alicia, Lane, great-great-grandchildren, Xander, Paxton, Everleigh, Nolan, Hendrix, Vivi Claire, Everett and her cherished cat, Baby.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2023. Visitation will also be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
