Norman Alcorn, 74, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family early Saturday morning, January 21, 2023. He was at University Hospital, Columbia, Mo., after complications from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

He was born August 12, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Harold Carter Alcorn and Ozetta Agnes (Brockman) Alcorn. He grew up in rural Windsor, Mo. on a dairy farm. On May 1, 1993, he married Linda Marlene Fosnow at Katy Park Baptist Church, Sedalia, and she survives of the home.

Norman was a self-employed farmer and truck driver for many years. He then developed and operated Countryside RV Park in Sedalia until his retirement in 2017. He enjoyed NASCAR and had an appreciation for nice cars. Norman took great care in keeping his own truck and vehicles immaculately clean. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and smoking meat for large gatherings. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was a Mason. He was a member of the Ionia Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife Linda, survivors include a son, David Alcorn (Laura), Camarillo, California; 2 daughters, Dena Morris (Hansel), Lincoln, Mo., and Deby Miller (Stephan), Lake Saint Louis, Mo.; 5 grandchildren, Jack Alcorn, Camarillo, Ca., Allyson Martin (Brandon), Warsaw, Mo., Hansel Morris III "Trey," Searcy, Arkansas, Madison Miller, Kansas City, Mo., and Makinley Miller, Lake Saint Louis, Mo.; a sister, Iva Lou Banning (Ray), Armstrong, Mo.; and numerous nephews, nieces, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Candace Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, at a later date. The family suggests contributions to CurePSP in care of the funeral home.
