"HADLEY -- Ruth Andre' Abbett, 82, of Hadley, formerly of Albany, died Sunday at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville after a brief illness. Born and educated in Albany, she had resided in Albany for most of her life and had moved to Edinburgh in the early 1980's. Mrs. Abbett had worked as a clerk typist for Sterling Drug Co. many years ago. She also worked as an Office Clerk with Time-DC Transportation Co. in Colonie for 20 years, retiring several years ago. She is wife of the late Robert H. Abbett. Beloved mother of Judith Miske Hansen and her husband, Richard, of Albany and Alan R. Abbett and his wife, Laura, of Stonington, CT. Grandmother of Mrs. John (Michele) Teabout, Robert C. Moen Jr., Amber D. Abbett and Zachary R. Abbett. Great-grandmother of Heather A. Moen, Synclaire A. Teabout, Carly and Caressa Moen. Funeral services will be Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Organ Fund, 142 Maple Ave., Altamont, NY 12009 or AMCH Neonatal Unit, 45 New Scotland Ave., Albany , NY 12208."
