Shirley T. Fennell, 78, of Natrona Heights, passed away surrounded by those who loved her on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Belair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell. She was born May 4, 1929, in Creighton, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Alpha Bowser Sharer. Shirley worked at the former Pennzoil Gas Station in Natrona Heights as an assistant manager for over seven years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, sewing, ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Nancy) Fennell, of Sarver, Alan (Bonnie) Fennell, of Natrona Heights, Donna (Gerald) Kemp, of Lower Burrell, and Catherine (Parker) Large, of Natrona Heights; nine grandchildren, Brian Kemp, Scott (Betsy) Fennell, Tom Fennell Jr., Brandi (Scott) Gloer, Don E. (Lori) Kemp, Jamie (Darrel) Crowe, Jared (Teri) Kemp, Timothy Cromer (Kera) and Joshua Fennell (Gabby); 11 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Sally Slee and Gail (Raymond) Albaugh, both of Tarentum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Fennell, on Jan. 1, 2002; a brother, Russell Sharer Sr.; and sister, Evelyn Egan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm IV. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
