Mrs. John Bergstedt, (Mary Lavonia Vincent), born at Vincent Settlement in Calcasieu Parish on March 31, 1869, died at Sulphur on Nov. 29, 1912. She was an invalid in the latter part of her life.
At the age of 21, she married Dr. Steven Read, he died 4 years later and to this union was born one child, Mr. Reynold Read of Sulphur.
When she was 29, she married Mr. J.E. Bergstedt and to them were born 4 children, (one dying in infancy) her husband, 2 girls and 1 boy survive.
