On August 14, 1959 she married the love of her life, Edwin A. Duell at Peace Church in Rochester. After the Duell's were married they moved to rural Rochester, eventually settling in Viola in 1962. Throughout the course of their lives Ed and Marge lived in Viola, Rochester and Platteville, WI. In 2008 Marge moved to rural Zumbro Falls, and in 2013 she moved to the Lake City Care Center. In Marge's early working years she was employed by Trachel Dental Service, and then as a cook at Olmsted Community Hospital. Marge was later employed as a cook at the Children First daycare in Rochester. Together, Ed and Marge worked at Arnolds Supply, St. Paul's Church, Pizza Hut and Platteville Golf Course. Marge was very active in the Viola Gopher Count, was a member of St. Paul's Church and the Women's Guild. She was recently elected Resident Council President at the Lake City Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending time crocheting and knitting, loved all music, enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching QVC and playing bingo. Above all Marge enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marge will be dearly missed by all family and friends with her daily positivity, charm and laughter. Everything was always good with Marge. Marge is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Calvin) Schumacher of Millville; three grandchildren, Brian (Jenny), Mindy (Kevin), and Karl (Melissa); six great-grandchildren, Brett, Harold, Calvin, Henry, Ava, and Autumn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edwin (1999), and half-brother, Glenn. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
