Dewey E. Rogers, of Live Oak, Fl. passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at The Good Samaritan Center, Dowling Park, Fl., at the age of 95.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Charlene Cole (Rickie); Kay Rogers; Vickie Hicks (Randy); Cindy Macy (Paul); Shannon Free (Kevin); 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by sons, Darrell E. Rogers; John Wesley Rogers; Grandson, Jason Silvers; Mother, Jewel Horne; brother, John Wesley Rogers; sisters, Dorothy Dorsey; Jeanette Sleight.

The Live Oak, Fl. native served in the U.S. Navy aboard U.S.S. Wisconsin (BB-64) during World War II. Dewey's skills as a Master Builder and Commercial Supervisor can be seen in many Businesses, Churches, and Schools throughout our community and the surrounding areas. He had a great passion for fishing, and a love for the Suwannee River and the Gulf waters. Daddy loved the quote," God does not subtract from man's allotted days, the time spent fishing".

A Memorial Service will be held in Live Oak on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 am, at the Live Oak Church of The Nazarene.
