Married Margaret J Robinson, the daughter of Sarah Walton and William or John Robinson b 1856-1861 Northumberland County NB, by 1878. (Margaret's 2nd marriage certificate says William, her death certificate says John. Her 2nd marriage certificate says she was b Chatham NB, her death certificate says Newcastle NB.)

Saint John Globe, Fri 15 Mar 1895: "George F. MUNROE a s/o J.J. MUNROE died suddenly at his home on St. James Street this forenoon. He had been suffering for some time with asthma and lately had been quite ill, but no fatal results were feared. On Thursday he became very ill and this morn. he sank gradually and died. Per burial permit, resident at time of death was 127 Princess Street, died of pneumonia.

Listed as single on death certificate and in 1900 US Census. However, there's a William F Munroe b "1874" Saint John, son of Margaret Robinson and George Munroe, who married Alice Haskins 1899 Boston MA. Alice was the daughter of Catherine Power and Daniel Haskins b "1875" Halifax NS.
