Husband of Marytje (TenEyck) Van Keuren
Tjerck Mattysen Van Keuren was the fourth child of Matthys Matthysen Van Keulen and Tjaatje De Witt. He was baptized on 24 Dec 1682 in Kingston, Ulster County, in what is now New York state (Hoes' Kingston baptismal register), and died on 8 Jun 1742 in Kingston, Ulster County, NY.

Tjerck (Dirck, Derek, or Derrick) Matthysen was one of the six brothers who started using the name Van Keuren. He was the First Deacon of the Dutch Reformed Church at Kingston where most of the first generations of the family were members and were baptized. He was both a magistrate and trustee at Kingston, and was in one of the regiments of the Ulster Militia.

On 1 Feb 1702 in Kingston, Tjerck married Maritje (Marytje) Ten Eyck, the daughter of Captain Matthys Ten Eyck, a participant in the French and Indian Wars, like Tjerck's father, Matthys Matthysen. Maritje was born in 1682 and died in 1760. They had fourteen children, two of whom died in infancy.
