Ruthanne (Heselschwerdt) Cummins, age 94, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2023.
Ruthanne was born September 20, 1928 in Grand Ledge, Michigan to Warren and Rhea (Shane) Heselschwerdt. She was a 1947 graduate of Lakeview High School. In 1948, she married the love of her life, Dale E. Cummins. Ruthanne was an avid fan of Michigan State University Sports and was a bank teller at Security National Bank. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She also collected hippopotamus figurines and loved dogs. Ruthanne enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals, in her backyard.
Ruthanne was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; sons, Michael and Jeffrey; and daughter, Julie. She is survived by her friends, Barb Shelley, Margaret Michael, Debrah Hall, Carrie Smith and sister-in-law, Beverly Sellers.
