Kevin Teale Hurtt, Son of Almeta and Raymond, brother of Raymond, Keith, and Gladys, husband of Karen, father of Keith, Brianna and Alexandria, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was 63 years old.
Kevin was born December 15, 1959, in New Jersey. Kevin served in the United States Navy where he was an Aircraft Electrician Mate First Class (AE1). He was awarded many times for his service including two Navy and Marine Corp Achievement medals in 1992 and 1994. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of faithful and dutiful service to his nation.
Kevin married the love of his life, Karen Louise Bolster in Reno, Nevada on August 23, 1986. To this union was born three children, Alexandria Maylen, Brianna Teale and Keith Michael.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Everod, in 1975 and his mother, Almeta Lilian, in 2000, his brother Raymond Edward, in 1991, and his brother, Keith Edwin, in 1984. He is survived by his wife and their three children, and his sister, Gladys L. Chambliss.
Graveside services were held on February 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 E Broad Street, Westfield, NJ. Services were provided by Buckland Funeral Home - Somerville in Somerville, NJ.
