Bill R. Adams, 83, of Pineville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 following an automobile accident.
Born March 2, 1932 at Pineville, he was the son of the late Ray and Icie Green Adams.
Bill was a member of the Cook Memorial Baptist Church; was retired from the WV State Tax Department and was a former WV State Trooper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan "Jo" Adams and a sister, Pamela Adams Bowyer.
Survivors include his son, William Adams and his wife, Carolyn of Cary, NC. A daughter, Belinda Adams Hill of Madison, WV. Three grandchildren, John Hill and his wife, Mandy of Chesapeake, OH and Jeremy and Kara Adams of Cary, NC and one great-grandchild, AJ Hill. 2 brothers, Bob Adams and his wife, Margie of Pineville, Lloyd Adams and his wife, Marie of Pineville. 2 sisters, Betty Stevens of Pineville; Kay Adams Tilley and her husband, Leo of Pickens, SC. Mr. Adams is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Cook Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Family Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends from noon on Saturday until the time of the service.
