John Chester Robinson was born in Chicago, IL but later moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL. He married and joined the U. S. Marine Corps. By early 1966 he had advanced in rank to Corporal and was classified as a “Rifleman.” On Tuesday, 22 Mar 1966 he and his squad were on patrol in Quang Ngai Province of the Republic of (South) Vietnam. His unit engaged the Viet Cong and he was killed by small arms fire. John was 25 years old.”
