MICHAEL ALLEN OBITUARY
"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever." - Alfred Lord Tennyson Michael R. Allen of Belle Fourche, SD was born March 7, 1959, in Lincoln, Nebraska and passed away on December 29, 2022. Mike was a graduate of Broomfield High School. He then attended Colorado State University and went on to earn a master's degree in Sport Administration. Mike was very active in the running world starting at an early age and continued to support the industry until his death. He had many friends in the running community. Mike is survived by his wife Laurel, his mother Marlys (Marti) Allen and sisters Marla Potadle (Mark), Barbara Slattery (Dan), and Michelle Acker (Chris), as well as his nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father George (Dick) Allen. Everyone who knew Mike would all agree that he was a very compassionate, caring, giving and kind man. He leaves a big gap in our families and community and will be grievously missed. No services are planned at this time.
