Katherine Cauley Powell, 88 of Lizella, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 in Fellowship Church at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Bobby Hamlin and Pastor Ricky Tidwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. till service time in the church.
Born in Millen, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Alvin James Cauley and Mollie Joyner Cauley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie E. Powell, and five sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Powell was a member of Fellowship Church for over 60 years, where she served in many capacities and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Earline Davis, Judy Peavy, Patricia Brinkley(Fred), and Ben Powell Jr. (Lindsey). Grandchildren, Jessica Gilstrap(Shannon), Summer Davis, Shannon Davis(Tiffany), Erica Getrum(Rich), Ashley Freeman(Sam), Amber Jones(Ryan), Brittany Peavy(Dewayne), Blane Lazaurs(Victoria), Julie King(Alex), Chris Brinkley, Cheney Daniel, Kyle Powell(Ashley) Brayleigh Powell, Abby Price, Maddie Price, and Carter Price. 14 great grandchildren and one great grandson on the way.
Flowers will be accepted, memorials may be made to Fellowship Church and Alzheimer's Association.
