Cecile V. Bechet, 91, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Stafford Springs, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda Corbeille Richards. Cecile came to the Capital District in the early 1960's and retired as a file clerk at AMCH in the early 1970's. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Her husband, Arthur A. Bechet, predeceased her on March 20, 2000. She was the beloved mother of Paul R. Bechet (Marianne) of Newton, Mass., Jacqueline Witty (Dr. Robert T.) of Columbus, Ohio, Jeanne M. Barnes (Kenneth A.) of Albany and Janet A. Abriel (Henry J.) of Albany; sister of Lionel James Richards of Woonsockett, R.I.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive Cecile.
