KENNEDYVILLE, Md. - John Laws Holloway Jr., 72, of Kentmore Park near Kennedyville, died of pneumonia Tuesday in Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown. Mr. Holloway, formerly of Wilmington, Del., had been living in Maryland for the past 15 years.

Mr. Holloway was the founder and owner of Holloway Brothers Tools Inc. of the Basin Road Industrial Park, an industrial distributor specializing in cutting tools, abrasives and precision tools. Mr. Holloway began the business in 1946 and retired in 1979.

He was a member of the Newark, Del., Country Club and the Chester River Yacht and County Club in Chestertown.

He is survived by his wife, the former Nell Everett; a son, John L. Ill; and two grandsons.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Willis Wells Funeral Home, 413 High St., Chestertown, where friends may call one hour earlier. Entombment will be in Shrewsbury Churchyard, near Kennedyville.
