Mrs. Daniel Brantner was the victim of an accident yesterday which will probably result in her death. She resides at North Sixth street. While carrying a wash boiler filled with hot water she tripped and fell, with water spilling on her and badly scalding her. A physician was summoned immediately after the occurrence of the accident, and dressed her injuries. The physician stated last night that owing to her advanced age it is feared that she cannot recover. The burns are of a very serious nature.

Died, at her home, Oct. 6, 1898, Mrs. Priscilla S. Brantner, aged 80 years. The deceased met with an accident about ten days ago which hastened her demise. She was carrying a boiler of hot water when she tripped and fell, the water spilling on her and badly burning her about the body. It was thought at the time that the accident, together with her advanced age, would be the cause of her death.
Mrs. Brantner was born in Ohio and had resided in Illinois for the past 28 years.
She leaves to mourn her loss, two sons and one daughter: John Brantner, of this city, Sam Brantner, of Atkins, Minn., and Mrs. Charles Routt, of this city.
