Nancy Jean Glidden, 68, of McClelland Avenue, New Castle, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 21, 2017, at Caprice Nursing Home, North Lima, Ohio. Born in New Castle, Pa., on March 15, 1949, to the late James and Mary Femley Winters, she married James Edward Glidden on June 10 1967. He preceded her in death. Nancy was a Wilmington High School graduate and a member of the Shenango Presbyterian Church. She worked for Happy Hound Pet Grooming for the last 28 years. Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Douglas and Jennifer Glidden, both of New Castle; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, from 3 until 6 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, Pa. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Amy Na officiating. Interment will follow at Neshannock Cemetery, New Wilmington.
